3rd Essay – Final

December 29.2003

There are many things unleashed and undefined despite the power of the mind. In many cases mind can not do anything and chooses to stay far. However there are many things that can be accepted as evidences for ESP, Extra Sensory Perception. In the depth of mind , the claims of unscientific definings about ESP are not so longer valid. According to many genious and intelligent people, it is quite acceptable them to have some special intuitions and according to many dreams or day-dreams , it appeared that there are clues for the existance of the ESP as an answer to the definiton of unscientific.

Author defines as “the ability to acquire information without the benefit of the senses”. In this view we can predict that people who are said to be genious, may have these kind of abilities at high rate.

Genious people can be quite objective examples. They can see the facts, events in unique way that noone can ever see. They have an extraordinary understanding of normal things. For an apple falling down from a tree can surprisingly inspire a scientist (Newton) to discover the theory of gravity. It is not possible anyone to define the progress of this inspration in a formal way. Actually noone ever knew the fact that why the scientists took their inspration from so little things and these things led to many great discoveries. It is very simple to see that these are extraordinary people, clearly very much different from ordinary people.**** To give a modern example , Albert Einstein has discovered the nuclear power which noone has ever imagined about. . He has made numerous tests on the way of his opinions. And he also worked on the riddle of the universe. ”He persisted in his matematical quest , one night , in a dream which was far more than a dream , he saw the panaroma of the universe laid out before him im a marvelous geometric design.”(Sherman,1986,p4).  He had been given some information or some clues, hints about his studies. These people have a kind of precognition in order to organize their scientific experiments. They may have some sort of power to help them in the way they study.  We know Edison has made over a thousand experiment in order to discover the electirc bulb that billions of  people in the world use today. As I mentioned before it is not really clear why he did not give up after so many failures. What we know is somehow he did not give up becouse he had believed in something that gave him the determination of accomplishing and trying. As well as them , many unknown persons had achieved many things. Do they have to have this kind of extraordinary and auxiliary perceptions or are they such normal humans ? They have many different sides, their lifes , behaviours, studies, these odd differences all need an explanation. The most formal way of explainig of these is ESP.

A man named Michael was planning a trip up north to the English provinces.  A few days before the journey he had a vivid dream in which he saw himself speeding in his car when suddenly there was a sharp turn in the road.  He saw another car's headlights coming around the corner and they ended in a head on collision.  Taking his dream seriously he drove more cautiously on his trip.  When he recognized the road from his dream he slowed and therefore avoided hitting a car, head on, that came around the turn in the wrong lane.

Dreams may be counted as an another prove for ESP as subjective examples.  The    main sub-parts    of the ESP are the precogniton, clairvoyance and telepathy. Clairvoyance is defined as “sensing of an object or event out of range of the senses' (Harris,2003). The following example could be a good instance for this.

Once a young man who was very close to his grandfather,  lived thousands of miles apart from him and rarely saw him.  This man awoke one morning hearing his grandfather calling his name.   He opened his eyes and thought he saw his grandfather sitting on the side of his bed crying.  He asked what was wrong and his grandfather told him that he had come to say goodbye, and that he loved him.  With that said the image disappeared.  The young man was very disturbed by this, but eventually fell back to sleep.  When he awoke he thought it was all a bad dream and went to work.  After he got home that evening he received a phone call from his sister telling him that their grandfather had passed away around 1:30 that morning.

In this travel, he has saved his life himself , only help of a dream. However it is not a only a dream. It has messages hidden in it. Some kind of metaphysic perceptions had occured on his dream about his near future. These kind of subjective examples could not be seen by everyone. We may take a look to this instance.

This story is not the only one. There are numerous stories on the internet about this concept. If there was only one , it will not take attention much , but many samples like these create a strong opinion about ESP. The all events about ESP are not so few to be despised. In order to live ESP, there is a prerequist thing that the person must believe first. Then the fact of ESP will start to come out like dominas. Indeed the people who have prejudice about ESP and want it to be proved, might have to wait forever. The faith on the perception , is quite important.

In conclusion, the ESP has many evidences. The people who are categorised in the genious people , show that they do neither their works nor studies with only their mind, but with some kind of other senses which are not found in the five senses. An other fact is the dreams of some people which may give very important and surprising information about your near future or about the past that the person has not heard of. These all things have to be respected as an indicator to the ESP.
