Adam and Eve
God thought that, the man he created needed a partner. So God created woman from the man’s ribs. We can understand from here that women’s function in life generally is to be a friend, helper, partner to men. We may predict that the women’s condition of second place, in social life in early times, depends on the belief to this creation. Because, people believe that women’s condition of being servant to men is performed by God, himself. The acceptance of the God’s deeds without criticising it, women were put in a place like that. Although this seems quite acceptable, there is a little point is not noticed. The creation of woman depends on the fact of completing the imperfect sides of the man’s life. There was a space in the man’s life before woman’s creation, it quite bothered the God, because he wanted to see his achievements perfect. The necessity of creation of woman was occured. At least woman created as a partner to man. To sum up, woman creation is needed to be looked as an complementary process that have to be understood as an obligatory fact. After this creation, the God was pleased of his action.
God has forbidden them to eat from only one tree in the Garden of Eden. However the serpent deceived the woman to eat from it and woman gave one piece to man. So it is believed that she, the woman, holds the responsibility of banishing from Eden. The woman was the reason for them to be driven out according to some view. Neverthless the people who has this belief thought that women are always the problem-makers, this is not still valid in modern societies. However, sociological searches on women and men personalities showed that there is a weak side on personality of having tendency to wrong. People can be persuaded with some little work to do bad but it is quite hard to make people do better things. So, this article tells us about Adam and Eve, with the main characteristic attribute of mankind. It has realistic features in view of sociological perspective.
